Powerstrip question

I've been playing arround with powerstrip lately (version 3.75) and i've noticed something odd when useing it with my nec lcd1970gx.
When I go to powerstrip>options>monitor information>read data from registry powerstrip displays max resolution of 1280x1024 hsync 84 vsyn 75 and when powerstrip recalculates it the results stay the same. However when I go powerstrip>options>monitor information>read date from stored EDID the results vary. I get max resolution of 1280x1024 hsync 81 vsyn 75 and when I recalculate the results differ even more.
max resolution 1912x1072 hsync 81 vsync 100. So my question would be witch of these shows the true specs of my monitor, and would it be possible to force 100hz at low resolutions like 640x480 or 800x600.
Thanks for the help

do you have your monitor drivers installed or does it just say "plug and play" when you go into your monitor properties?

that COULD be the issue as powerstrip may not know what your monitor is so it cant give an accurate reading.

display: nec multisync LCD1970gx on NVIDIA GeForce 8800gts

nope windows seems to recognize the monitor. However, under powerstrip>options>monitor information the plug any play box is clicked in timing options nut I cant seem to uncheck it might be because I only have the trial version.
