After taking a quick look at these, it seems they provide protection by running applications in a virtual machine which can certainly work but results will vary depending on what your trying to do... I've never heard of either of them.

I've played around with a similar program called Sandboxie and it works pretty well for ...erm... certain risky adult-oriented online activity & is free-ware... you can also register for a $25 fee & receive lifetime upgrades.

Hello there,

I used shadowuser which operates on the same priciples as PowerShadow. And here is what i can say regarding the os i ran it from :

Advantages : runs smooth and provide pretty good (kind of...) security on windows Xp (x86). A nice way to test applications.

Disadvantages : don't run on x64, has some severe security issues at boot process + other bug...
