The Emerald forest is probably my favourite Powers Boothe movie. The story is of a family living at an Amazon dam construction project in the remote Amazon jungle. Eventually when it's built the dam would flood much of the indigenous people lands. The development driven father with no concern of the native people (Powers Boothe) son is abducted by one of these remote tribes and they raise him while his father searches in vain or ten years.
