Hi,

I'm looking at buying this laptop very shortly from powernotebooks.com, and was just wondering if you guys think it's a good deal.

15" SXGA+ TFT Active Matrix w/ Radeon 9000 4x AGP w/ 64 MB DDR
1.5 Intel Pentium Processor M with 1024k L2 On-die cache
512 MB RAM PC2100 DDR(1 SODIMM)
DVD/CD-RW
Built in Intel PRO/ Wireless 2100 802.11b LAN
MS Windows XP Pro
Carrying Case
AC ADAPTER, etc
$389 software bundle for free...

System Price - $1830

Any recommended changes that I should make to either make my system better, or to make it slightly worse for cheaper? (Like I could save $100 for getting a 1.4 instead)

Also, how will the 1.5 PentiumM perform in relation to their desktop chips? Also, has anyone gamed on a Centrino? How do they perform?

Oh jeez, I never noticed the X1000. That actually is a better deal. If the rebate works, its like $70 less, and I get the radeon 9200 but only 4200 RPM HD, but the difference is probably negligible. Do you have any other recommendations for similar laptops?
