I have a lengthy powerpoint presentation I'd like to turn into a VCD for playback on dvd players. Anyone have a way to do this? Perhaps software to capture the screen to video file and then I can convert it? I'm looking for free here if possible...

edit: preferably have audio captured at the same time. The slide show has sound which I suppose I could add into the video later, but it'd be a million times easier to do it all at once if possible.

So far the only idea I've come up with is to hook up a vcr to my video out, record to tape, then use my vid capture card to bring it back it. That'll be a lot of quality loss though... any better ideas?

What software do places use to get ingame movies?

If you have power point 2002, then you can use power point producer to create windows media output. Then use a converter program to get it into a format for a DVD player.

You should be able to find a program that can "record" all actions on the desktop to a movie file. I use one that came with my copy of Robohelp, but I'm sure there are freeware programs out there. I'll find some programs and get back...

Link to some shareware screen capture/movie programs.
