PowerPoint to go.

If you have PowerPoint 2003 and want to carry it with you to display on other peoples computers how is that done?
There is an option to save it so that you can do this, however when I do so it just wants to install the PowerPoint viewer on the new computer.
Is that how it works? I thought I could save it in such a way as to just launch the program without installling the PowerPoint viewer on all the other computers.
This is important to me since some people may object to my installing software on their computers.
Thanks.

Yes - Powerpoint Viewer is how it works. I carry two copies of PP Viewer on my thumb drive - one for 2003 and one for 2007. I use them in classes I teach. I just go in, pop in my thumb drive, and send the desired viewer to the desktop. Then I do the same with the ppt file I want to use. They are ready to go that way.

If you regularly do this, the viewer is a quick and easy install on any PC,and it is free. The 2007 version can handle 2003 files,so it is probably the best choice.

So you do have to install the viewer?
