PowerPoint Question

I have a DVD that I would like to rip to my computer so that I can take certain scenes and add them to a PowerPoint. Are there any good, free programs to do that???

Ok. After thinking about this the above question may imply that I want to do this illegally but I don't.

Revision 1: Are there any legal free or cheap ways to do this?

I don't think you need to rip the DVDs to do that, and since I don't rip DVDs I don't have any advice on a ripper. But you can use VLC Media Player to play DVDs and grab screenies.
