I was reading the review on Anandtech's homepage about the WD Livewire, but I'm confused. Is this a product that allows data to be shared between multiple devices using electrical wiring inside the house instead of ethernet cables?? If not, what exactly does this device do?...

You're exactly right. Plug one into say, an upstairs outlet, and another into a downstairs outlet. Theres ethernet plugs on either end...connect them, and its like you have ethernet connectivity in the walls (well...almost ethernet...its slower).

Would save me a bunch of headaches if they could get something that could do 1080p video....gotta run a bunch of cables this weekend 😛
