Powerline adapters...do I need 2?

Now, correct me if I am wrong, but in order to use that, I'd have to buy 2, correct?

I have a router in my bonus room. I need to get internet to the opposite side of house on the 1st floor. Wireless is out of range, and I don't want to deal with extended it, etc.

Anyway, so even though it doesn't say anywhere (including the reviews), I need 2, one to connect in my bonus room to connect to my router, then the other goes downstairs. Correct?

You probably don't have a 5Ghz router. The whole point of this is a point to point link in an uncongested band.

powerline blows. good luck getting 10megabit sustained for hours at a time. its great for browsing and if you don't mind stopping when the vacuum cleaner is on

Depends on how your home is wired. Powerline is great for some things and bad for others. I would definitely say that if you buy a powerline kit, buy locally so you can return it if necessary. I never had a problem sustaining 10mb/s with the powerline adapters that I had (and they were on opposite corners and 2 floors apart in a ~5k sqft home). Unfortunately, while they did provide 10mb/s... I needed a bit more than that. However, my xbox live connection was rock solid through them! They had way better speeds than a conventional home wireless N router at the distance that I was using them at.

Edit: Note that the ones that I tried were from netgear. They look similar to the ones that the OP posted but they are the 200mb/s versions.
