I installed the PL-iP3/T in my Abit BH6 rev 1.0 motherboard (bios SS, the latest) and it only works with 2D applications like IE, Word, etc. I also have an ATI Rage Fury 32MB video card, 128MB of RAM, Kingston 10/100 NIC, Diamondmax MX 300 sound card, and a Diamondmax K56 modem installed. All are using the latest drivers available. Oh yeah, operating system is Win98 (first edition).
If I attempt to use any application that even slightly stresses the CPU (Quake 3, Baldur's Gate 2, any benchmark), the computer locks up. I must reboot to get back to the desktop. No new software or hardware has been added to my system except this upgrade.
I'm beginning to think that Powerleap no longer checks their support page because I sent them this same problem description on Jan 22 and have yet to receive a reply.
If any of you have any information on how to get around this, please reply. Thanks.
