Powerful spyware causing Windows date to change?

I have no idea where this spyware originated, but it seems to be associated with Chinese websites that keep popping up now and then. However, it has gotten to the point where the damage is quite annoying that my date is always stuck at 1970 (year) on the Windows time, no matter how much I change it. It's on two of my computers now too (doh!), I've tried endless programs to remove it. But with the date change, it causes all my certificates and trial software to malfunction due to the weird date causing all programs/services (probably the virus/trojan's intent) to mess up. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? I've tried almost everything... I'm about to give up and perhaps reformat, but I don't want it again... This is by the far the most annoying/most difficult to remove spyware/virus I've ever encountered.
