hey i wanted to change the fans on my case and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas about a powerful 80mm fan...

i guess that niose is an issue too but anyways hit me with some suggestions

thanks

If you want it powerful, get a Delta. But be warned, the noise is unbearable.
And if you want something quieter than that you will need to specify what you want to use it for (because what's considered powerful for an exhaust fan may not be considered that powerful for a CPU fan).

ok you want powerful 80mm fans right! they are 3 actully that are top dogs first the Thermaltake A1357 Smart Fan II 80mm 75.7CFM, Vantec Tornado 80mm 84.1CFM, and the Delta FFB0812EHE 80mm 80CFM

You can find them at svc.com or in the for sale/trade forum here.

I agree here...
You can find pretty much the whole line @ Digi-Key

I have been changing out the fans in all my PC's with Panaflo's
My main box has a U1A (46CFM) on the heatsink and for the case 3 H1A's (39CFM) and 3 L1A's (24CFM)

Definately a lot more pleasant to the ears than it used to be. Smart Fan II was driving me nuts!

The fartsman II comes with a control that allows you to adjust the fan speed - thus allowing you to lower the noise level from it's highest speed rated "busy aircraft carrier" to a somewhat more reasonable level for normal usage.

I'll also vote for the Panaflo. H1a or U1a will do the trick (39 and 47 cfm, respectively). I have some H1as and one U1a around here not doing anything atm.

its not that bad i have it as a rear case fan in my comp now, i think my 60mm Delta screamer is louder, its on the heatsink

Deltas are acknowledged to be the king of noise, but that doesn't make the Tornado quiet

thanks ppl for all the advice... i was looking for a case fan... and obviously something quiet... dont wanna spend money right now cause i might actaully just build a while new computer but i will definately use some of these suggestions.
