Poweredge 1800 Raid controller failure

I was setting up facsys software(for fax) through terminal services on a server and it was just idle, I turned back to the screen to see that it froze, so I rebooted it with the drac card and now this is what I get when it boots, up. It just stays there and the white part flashes. The percentage means nothing, it's already the re when it boots up, and stays there forever. No disk activity at all. It's two 200GB drives that are mirrored.

that happens to me when 1 drive is bad...
you should call dell

if its mirror.. you can afford to take 1 drive out and boot with it.. and it will break mirror.. and yeah, i had 1 bad drive that got stuck at that for 1 day.. wont go any further..

under warranty ?

Yeah it's brand new, so I'm calling dell. They're usually good with stuff like that.

actually mine was brand new too.. about 2 weeks old, the drive died.. lmk.. thats how they had me test each individual drive.. one at a time.. 1850.. is the 1u one.. 3 drives.. not too bad..

Wow, close model, mine is the 1800 desktop/rackmount one. Drives seem fine, I think it's the scsi, they sent a tech over.

didn't realize.. 200 gb, thats ide raid not scsi right.. might still be the drive

Nope it's scsi, not exactly 200 gig but close, like 186 or some odd figure like that.
