i have a gigabyte 960p ds3, and i've just finished building it, and plugging everything in. However, when i power it up, everything works and boots up, but one thing concerns me, the heatsink fan is not moving/barely moving! I'm using the e6420 stock heatsink/fan! Also, the gigabyte 8600GT(silent), does not have a 16X pci-e power connector, does this sound correct? i need help asap! any input would be helpful! thanks!

The only input i can give to this is that i have a Gigabyte MB also what you need to do is go into your BIO and there a setting to turn it on i had the same problem. its not really a problems its just a setting. What mine did was it would turn on for a bit and than shut off now after having my X6800 put in and see this fan stop trust me it wasn't a good feeling.. But just check your setting in the BIO this should help you out.

The reason that 8600 GT doesn't have a PCIe connection is because it uses less than 75 watts of power, so it doesn't need any extra power, besides what the PCIe slot provides.
