PowerDVD stops responding

I'm running a Radeon 9800 Pro with a Toshiba DVD Rom. When I had a 5200FX Nvidia card, the dvd's played back no problem. Ever since I installed the 9800 Pro, I could be watching a DVD for 1 hour plus and all of a sudden the screen will freeze and the pc stops responding. Any ideas what may be causing this?

Which drivers are you using? When you switched video cards, did you uninstall the nvidia drivers and then use Driver Cleaner 2 to remove the remnants of the Nvidia install?
