Powerdvd stopped playing BR

I loaded my Powerdvd 8 and it told me I needed to perform a critical update to watch BR. I was trying to watch beerfest which I have watched numerous times on my same computer and after the update was finished Powerdvd told me that it was unable to enable HDCP and that i need to go down to VGA error=0110. I use a HDMI cable from my HTPC to my tv and this all worked fine until I just made this update.

I also ran the cyberlink program and it told me everything is ok and I am hdcp compatible. I am confused. I was hoping to not have to use anydvd.

I'm having issues with PowerDVD 7 Ultra (losing audio/video sync) - the recommendation here was to contact their tech support for an update. That may be your best bet as well.
