I just installed PowerDVD 3.0 on my Windows 2000 Pro SP2 system and EVERY time I boot the computer I am asked if I want to run my drives in DMA mode. The message says, basically:
- - - -
*WARNING* Please read the following instructions:
This program can enable DMA mode if it is supported by your DVD-ROM drives to speed up DVD Video playback performance. If your IDE devices can not work properly after enable DMA mode, you can restore the old settings by executing this program again.
Liteon CDRW DMA? [unchecked box] (Liteon LTR 24102B)
Pioneer DVD DMA? [unchecked box] (Pioneer 106s)
- - - -
Then, after I choose DMA (check the boxes) it says I must reboot for my settings to take effect. The first time, I ran the "diagnostics" and they were successful and a log file was created. What can I do to stop this from happening? I got the program with my Hercules GTXP soundcard. Thanks.
