Hey guys!

Quick question:

I need a program that will allow me to play all types of movies on a 2nd monitor (actually a TV) but play it in an intelligent manner WHILE still allowing me to work on my 1st monitor.

Example:

I can use PowerDVD to watch anything on the TV while i'm working on the other monitor, however, it stretches 16:9 DVDrips unnaturally and makes them look stupid.

I can use the old Windows Media player to watch movies on the 2nd screen but if I click the mouse or do anything, it goes out of fullscreen.

Any advice on this matter?

PowerDVD has never stretched widescreen movies incorrectly for me.

Try WinDVD if PowerDVD doesn't work for you.

WinDVD has the best TV Out support i've seen :)

Will allow you to watch videos full screen on TV, as well as being able to have the player window in the background on main screen, as you want here :)

As for the stretching, there may or may not be an option somewhere in your Vid card settings about overlay? I think it was there, or WinDVD that fixed that problem i was having :)

media player classic allows you to change the aspect of the files, also it plays dvd's and realmedia files if a dvd and real player are installed on the computer, the best part is that it looks just like wmp6.4.

also you can slow down or speed up video playback in realtime
