I just installed PowerDVD 4 on my NT(4 SP5) system. PowerDVD works fine, but I get an error
with WMP(6.4) when I try and run anything through it.
Error Message: "The dynamic link library msdxm.ocx could not be found in the specified path C:program Files\Windows Media Player; C:WINNT\System32;.... and it continues to list a bunch of other directories.
I did a search on my HD for that file and it found nothing.
Like I said PowerDVD works fine and can play anything.. but WMP is no go.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

try going in WMP to help->update. it will probably tell you there is a 7.0x update. install that (you can always use the unbloated version 6.4 by typing "mplayer2" at the run prompt. an upgrade just might reinstall those files u need. also, once you get it working you could probably even uninstall 7.0 again.
