I started using PowerDVD 3.0 when I installed a 12X Toshiba DVDrom on my system. The problem is that the while veiwing a DVD the HD is constantly being accessed by the player. I would like to be able to download files and do other task in the background at the same time. Does Powerdvd need to use the HD that much? If so is there another player that is less HD intensive?

Im using a BH6 with celey 600o/c1008mhz, TNT2, IBM 7200 ATA33, toshiba 12X dvd, Creative sound card(older not sure what model)

TIA

Are DVD's choppy? If not, then this is normal. If the DVD's do skip then you need to enable DMA mode for you hard disk and DVD drive. Otherwise, this is normall, and you should not have any problems downloading files.
