i am about to purchase a radeon x1900xtx or xt. (probably the xt) I have not had any dealings with powercolor but i wonder if people have had any bad luck with them. THere is a big price difference between them and the ati version. Normally i would get the ati card, but if powercolor is pretty good i might go with them. thanks guys

This may or may not help, but if you think about it it really makes sence(to me anyway)

Goto a bunch of places like new egg and monarch and places like that, look at the refurb section (I think that if a customer gets bad hardware and they send it back it eventually goes to the refurb area of the store)
I noticed alot of XFX cards but not many powercolor ones in alot of refurb areas in these stores.

Then you can get an idea of how many items from a particular manufacturer are being sent back because they are defective.

I am not too sure if this sheds any light on your question, I hope it does.

Good Luck.

PowerColor is a premium ATI partner, in fact, BBA cards are made either by PowerColor or Sapphire (another premium ATI partner), not sure if that has changed but regardless, PowerColor is a very good brand.

Also, I think I saw a Sapphire X1900XT for 490$ and a BBA X1900XT for 510$, you might want to look into those.
