Powercolor 9100 64 memory speed? 166?

I read somewhere that the Powercolor 9100 64 is only 166 instead of 250 like the 8500LE. Ne1 own this card? The price is dirt cheap i cannot wait to upgrade my GTS2 Pro. I dun wanna spend extra for the 128 version - is it worth it?
I only game at 1024x768 - monitor limit is 1280 🙁 but prefer to enable all eye candy - hopefully this card should do the work for the next one or two years (runnin XP1800@2200 on nforce2 board by the way)

Found somethin on a website sellin the card:

How much did you find the PC card for? It might be a little more expensive, but the Visiontek 9100's are guaranteed to be clocked at 250/250, just like the stock 8500LE. If the PC 9100 has a memory clock of 184(368), you would definitely notice the performance difference between a 9100 250/250(500) if you were to run both cards in the same computer. That >100mhz memory speed difference can be pretty telling.

Can't quote since livin outside the US - in direct conversion i d say about USD70 for the Powercolor 9100 64. The 128 card bout USD100. Like i said gaming 1024x768, do i need a 128 card or the 64 sufficient?

The prob with the POwercolor 9100 is the mem speed - 187? or 166? as per the website report?? Ne1 can verify this?

I wouldn't go for a 8500/9100 that was clocked at 184 (or lower) ... too much of a performance hit unless they really cut the price. I don't know where outside of the US you are, but here in Canada you can pick up a retail ATI 8500LE (230/230, supposedly) for about $65 US after rebate at FutureShop.

There's was a discussion of the issue here yesterday, at the thread: 8500Le vs 9100

Also, in response to your other thread about the FX5200, the non-ultra runs about 25% slower than the ultra version, according to hardware.fr.

EDIT: I'm revised the clock speeds to show 230/230 for the retail ATI card sold by FS.
