Hi there this is my first post on these forums,i do read them a lot but i never felt the need to say anything so hello all!

so i should be recieving my powercolor 3870 pcs factory overclocked model tomorrow i havent seen any reviews for it on the internet so i thought i could do a mini review when it comes tomorrow. i will post 3d mark 05 and 06 scores and hopefully do ut3 using fraps and world in conflict using the in game benchmark. and temps maybe a little overclocking at a later time

heres a list of my current hardware:
asus a8n-e mobo
amd 4400x2 @ 2.4Ghz
2gb corsair @ 440Mhz
x1900xtx currently
audigy 2 zs
320gb seagate barracudas
ocz gamextreme 700w psu
thermaltake armor

update to come tomorrow!

well it came... and it was the normal non pcs version, and as my chipset fan on my mobo died i replaced it with a zalman passive flower thing which now prevents me from installing my new graphics card! not sure what to do,keep the card and buy a cooler that will let it fit in my case like the zerotherm one or send it back and demand the pcs version

I was expecting the PCS version as well (AX3870 MD4-PH), but got the regular version(AX370 MD4-H). Did you get your from ebuyer ?

Not impressed by this at all, as it seems one person on ebuyer received the standard version as well. Almost thought about keeping it as it's a christmas present, but in the end, they haven't sent me the product I paid for. RMA'ing it today.

If the new cooler on your mobo chipset prevents you from installing the card, you should probably look to buying a Thermalright HR-05 SLI which is designed so that you can install it in a number of different angles to ensure adequate clearance for video cards.

Try downloading the patch at Futuremark and 3dmark06 should run ok then. I have the overclocked version here, and am awaiting a Gecube to show tomm, and then this Powercolor is going back. I have had nothing but problems with it. :(

Won't buy Powercolor ever since....

New GeForce 3 had little bitty loose parts in the bag. Then I had to bend and file the bracket to get the card to fit in a normal case.
