Powerchute UPS monitoring

Looking for a little help setting this up.
Here's our situation:
We've got an APC UPS hooked up to an hp-ux box. We've installed the UPS monitoring software on the hp-ux box and also created the pwrchute user that the install program tells us to create.

Powerchute is installed on an NT Server machine and we want to set it up to monitor the hp-ux box so that the NT machine can do automated shutdowns as well. The 'monitor a different server option' gives the error "You do not have permission to access server xxxx."

Any help?
