worth to buy any G4 computer? Considering them very old and no more new programs for them anymore? Most of them only work with intel based computer nowadays. Leopard 10.5 seems aged old now right?

I had a G4 PowerBook that I used for about a year or so until I replaced it with my MacBook Air. The screen is small and the CPU is slow, but they can still do some stuff. No Flash, and no HD video, but DVD playback is fine, music playback, light web browsing, using it for writing, all of those would be fine.

I use my G4 iBook (1.33ghz) as a file and media server. The Minis will work just as well for that purpose too.

folks want to be sportin' the apple for its prestige - they can't afford my $400 white macbook so they'll spend $200 on an ancient G4 powerbook lol. man those things are slow pentium-2 slow

I see I assume PowerPC 1.5Ghz is not that FAST enough to do some stuff like Adobe programs?

It will run CS2 like a champ, but it will be very slow for anything newer, and I don't even think CS5 supports PPC.

Umm, no. Not unless it's a really old version. Try running that on a netbook. That's basically what you've got.

I got a Dell Mini 1010 netbook with Windows 7 Ultimate I just want to learn more about Mac OSX before I get my hand on MacBook Pro this year.

Cool I will look for CS2 program from eBay but I think Photoshop Element is good enough for old PowerPC 1.5Ghz
