noone won yesterday.
tomorrow's drawing is estimated at $1.9B now and will probably go over $2B.

now the $2B is kinda misleading because it's annuity and with today's high interest rates, it DOUBLES the cash lump sum of $929M.
it used to be the annuity is 70% higher than lump sum.

also, powerball is sat and mon now?
2 days apart???
dumb marketing. would be better sat + wed drawings.

and paging @ViviTheMage for Atot lotto if noone wins tomorrow.
i guess 5days inbetween drawings if noone wins tomorrow is good for group buy

Powerball went to three drawings a week over a year ago. Mondays, Wednesday, and Saturdays. I believe they slightly changed the odds at the same time. This is why it sees bigger jackpots more often.

I can't even fathom winning that kind of money, I would definitely be helping a lot of people because I literally would not know what to spend it on once I got everything I want. Even hookers and blow can get old after a few mil spent on that. :p

I haven't lost any money playing the lottery in many years

I'll never buy a lottery ticket as long as I live. Odds are probably a lot higher that I'll get myself killed in a car wreck going to buy the ticket than they would be for me to win.

More drawings didn't change the odds. Both PB and MM made the odds longer a few years back, knowing it would result in more mega jackpots like tomorrow's. Overall, that increases lottery revenues although I've noticed Monday tends to be a softer sales day. That probably doesn't apply tomorrow with a $2B jackpot.

I wasted quite a bit of money trying to win between age 30 to 40 (possibly $10,000 or even more). Entered any competition/giveaway I could. Won two tickets to the 2nd Hunger Games movie on its release. Won $15 from the website that sells WinX DVD software. Then this September 15th, I gave some money (roughly $40) to charity and bought lottery tickets of equivalent amount. I posted on these forums saying something unexpected will happen on Sep 17th. It was regarding some hardware announcement. Instead, I won about $6000. Shared about $250,000 with 40 other folks. Didn't tell anyone except two people. You splendid souls are the few who know now. Didn't celebrate. Because honestly, it's not going to change my life. But good still. Trying to maximize the value of it by not wasting it on unnecessary stuff. The younger me would have definitely spent it all in a few months, thinking I would win again. I'm just grateful to God for this gift. I hope I win more so I have enough to actually do some good.

I would have to investigate this idea thoroughly just to be sure! ;)

*(I might have to buy ONE ticket just in case.... if I win I'll buy the forums and perma-ban everyone I don't like!)

Still haven't lost any money playing the lottery in five years at least and that record will stand tomorrow. Just found out some of my family is playing, so I'll be fine if they win lol

We got stuff to do, important stuff, you know, stuff.

Out snagging your Powerball tickets? ;)

Seriously it's fine to snag the occasional lottery ticket just for fun but anyone who buys them on a regular basis is a fool.

I'm in the lotto pool at work, but I don't really bother buying my own anymore. I figure it never hurts to buy, the tickets are cheap, but yeah don't over do it. If you buy every single draw from every lotto it really will add up fast.

When the jackpot gets up over $1 Billion, we buy a few tickets each drawing until someone hits the big one. No big spends, maybe $20 per draw. We USUALLY win back most of what we buy. Not always, but on average, maybe half.
