Power up/ good or bad?!

Hello,

So, when I turn of my PC I usually turn off the PSU, also (to the open/circle position). So, when I go back to turn on my PC, I turn on the PSU first...when i do that, my Antec fan spins for a couple seconds...is this good/bad/weird/normal?? the computer isn't even turned on, but the PSU is.

Also, I've heard both sides on this one...but what do you think...better to leave your PC running or turn it off every day??

That is normal. It only happens with some mobos though. For example, when I plug my box that has an Asus P5A mobo in, it doesnt spin up. My P-500 box (intel mobo) does spin up. And, my celeron box (tekram mobo) comes on and stays on when you plug it in. I think it is overkill to shut off your psu. I boot up my main box when I first use it, and leave it on till I go to bed. The computer in my basement stays on 24/7, and my old 486 linux box, which serves as a firewall, stays on 24/7/(next month will be 365). Yes, my linux box has almost been running for a year straight.

mine does it too. Iwill kk266 board. It just starts up and turns back off. Its nothing to worry about.

Normal for some mobo's as most replies have mentioned.
As regards the 2nd query that's just personal opinion, myself my PC runs 24/7 unless I am away for a long period of time.
