It will be 3 years in oct. that I bought a PS from newegg.
this one

When it got here, I immediately installed it. During the install was having problems plugging in one of the modular cables for the peripherials.
I assumed it was just because I was taking a bad angle at it trying to get around other things to plug it in. So I moved to another plug was successful and never thought much about it.
At the time I was using 5 of the 6 available peripherial slots.
Well added some more hardware this month and went tor that 6th slot and still could not get it in. finally pulled it back out of box to take a real good look at what was going on, and it turns out that the 6th slot was installed upside down inside of the power supply at the factory.
Of course they only fit one direction so to use it one would have to turn the cable upside down also.
This would make it impossible to use the little locking clip on the cable to secure to the PS.
I think the worse that would happen in this instance if I used it is that the cable may pull out without the locking clip being available.
For now have loaded up heavier on the other 5 slots to get around it but,
what would you do?

see inside, that piece , attached to board, appears to not be removeable.
note all the rounded corners on top of slot the one oddball has the rounded corners on the bottom.
this molded plastic is plugged into on the outside with only the proper orientation.
