power supply

I have an aspire 420W power supply that came with my x-alien case and was wondering if it will be able to run an X800 pro, MSI k8t neo, and an athlon 64 2800+cpu. Do you think that this is enough power to run the hardware or should i get a new one? does anyone know if this is a quality power supply? i was going to get an antec 430W true power but if its not neccessary i dont want to.

IMO the power supply is the most often under-budgeted part of a person's system, with most people just taking what comes in their case. I can't comment on the quality of Aspire's PSUs, but the Antec TruePower line is rock solid and will serve you well. Besides, they're not really that expensive, especially if you're buying a lower end one like a 430 (I think you can get it for like 65 bucks online).

thats pushing it bu tyou may be ok i would invest in a good psu to protect that sweet setup if it fails it could take anything else with it card, board, vga, memory, cpu. be carefull and keep a close nose on the psu

I have several Aspire cases with Aspire power supplies in them, and have had no problems. They seem to be stable, and run at there rated output.
