I'm upgrading my computer and I need to buy a new power supply. i aws thinking of a 350w or a 400w power supply. some people told me that 350w would be enough and some said to get a 400w. I'll be running a 2.6 p4 800 fsb. also if anyone can tell me a good brand to buy. i was looking at the enermax but i don't think they have a 400w or not one i could find.

Get as high as you can afford. I had a 420 running my 2.4C and upgrading it to a more stable Antec True Control 550 has enabled me to OC higher and I do not see the voltage fluctuations that I used to.

I agree with shady06. Get a quality power supply. Like an Antec, Enermax, Fortran, or Zalman. There is a PSU review here at AnandTech, read it for what are good power supplies. A 550 watt PSU is totally unnecessary for a desktop computer (ie, what you want to run).
