Power Supply won't reach, need help

I am a newbie to building computers. Basically I'm taking an old system out of a tower case, and placing it into a HTPC case. Here's what I'm using

Silverstone LC17
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
Turbolink 420 watt PS

This HTPC case has the PS on the opposite side of the motherboard than on my Tower. Becasue of this my 24 pin EATXPWR1 connector won't reach, and my 4 pin ATX12V1 won't reach either. Do I need to buy a new PS or can one buy extension cords for these connectors? Where should I look? Any brick and mortar stores have something like this?

Thanks in advance

Could buy extentions, but not from just anywhere. You'd be lucky to find a 4-pin ATX extention even on the web.

I would just cut the wires and solder some longer ones. Much cheaper and quicker.

Any conduction problems with soldering? Where can I buy wire? If I bought a new PS would it likely have the same problem with length of the wires or were these likely cut short to fit the case that the powersupply came with?

No problems from soldering, all your components are soldered. If you don't have an iron you could just wire wrap and heatshrink (you will want heatshrink anyway, or electrical tape) but irons are cheap. Buy wire from any hardware shop. Copper, about the same thickness as the stuff you're extending.
