Power Supply Upgrade Advice

Hello,

I am looking to replace my 570GTX currently paired with a 2500k with a 770GTX. I would like to know if my current 650w power supply will be able to handle this. The other parts I have are 2 sticks of memory, 1 HD, optical drive and a fan controller occupying a pci slot.

I suppose another question I have is if this is a worthwhile upgrade at this point or a few months down the line and if there is anything else I should upgrade to make the most of what I have. Thank you for your help.

Yes, 650W is plenty for a 770. It consumes only a few percent more power than a 570, and if your PSU is of high quality, it can handle dual 770's.

Your CPU is fine, I would however overclock it a bit when buying the new GPU. So no upgrading needed there unless you need a better heatsink.

If you don't have an SSD yet, get one, e.g. Samsung 840, Plextor M5S.

That's about it.
