Does unchecking an internal SSD hard drive in the bios (say for instance if it is on SATA port 2)
keep POWER/electric current from flowing to that drive or does it just not mount and allow access to that drive ?
john is correct but does it matter? The lifespan of the (other) drive electronics should easily outlast the write cycle wear lifespan of the flash chips, and the power consumption at idle is negligible, roughly 50mW.
