Well, Raidmax isn't really a well-known brand. The only one I found when I was checking to see what the ratings were was a 400W with the specs of a 250W. The specs aren't really that great. Lots of 5V power is great, except that the most important number is the +12V line, used by the CPU and the +5V usage is really usually 20A or less. Many high wattage PSUs get the high numbers by bumping up the 3.3V and 5V rails but only slightly increasing the 12V. 25A is certainly plenty, but for a 500W PSU that's not that great.

The PowMax 400W LP6100D has just as much power on the 12V line, and still plenty on the other rails, and is only 35 dollars on NewEgg. PowMax isn't really a well known brand either, but at least the specs aren't crap, and my roommate's 400W PowMax that cost him 25 bucks is running his P4 2.4C @ 3GHz with a 9800 Pro just fine. The LP6100DA is 60 bucks, with the same ratings, but I'm not sure what the difference is.

But you can do even better than that. The Enermax EG365P line (you can get it with all kinds of fan control options and whatnot) puts out more power than the PowMax and is only 47 dollars for the basic one.

Incidentally, the EG301P line puts out only slightly less power, but costs a good bit less. You really do not need 25A on the 12V rail, and certainly the 26A 3.3V and 30A 5V of the 301P is plenty.
