Have you looked at the PSU to make sure it is a standard size? Not sure about HP, but Dell is notorious for using a proprietary power supply (albeit a good one). Also, why do you want to upgrade the power supply? Are you planning on changing the video card or something?

The only suggestion I can give you, without knowing what you will be powering, is to go for a good brand PSU. Brands like PC Power & Cooling, Sparkle, Seasonic, Enermax, Antec, etc.
Also, is your warranty up on this computer? I am pretty sure this will void the warranty, but never had an OEM computer, so not 100% on that.

Captain Howdy is right on the mark, we need to know why you want to upgrade the power supply, is it for a nicer graphics card? And if so, which one?

I've seen that model of HP tower and it does use a standard size power supply, so you should be able to get almost any model to replace it.

Yeah I was thinking of getting a decent video card. The only one that I know might be able to accommodate is the 7600gt. I was thinking of getting one with direct 10 support. I'm not a huge gamer but want to be somewhat future proofed
