I am running a want to buy thread on this same topic as well, but got to thinking that maybe it would do well over here as well, so here it goes.

I need to get a new(at least new to me) power supply, and I would like something that will take me through the next couple of years, at least. I want something that is dependable and will allow me a little expansion on what I have, more than likely just a better video card down the line, but very possibly a better mobo and processor. So I do need something that has a little room.

Please let me know what you guys all think would serve me well.

I have a

MSI K7N2 Delta mobo
Athlon xp 2500+
2 gigs of ram
1 - 160 gig sata drive
1 - 200 gig sata drive
2 - dvd-rw drives
3 - 80 mm fans
1 - pci slot fans ( not sure what it is called, just fits into the slot where a pci card would usually go)
1 - network card
1 - pvr-350
1 - fx 5900

Thanks.

Get an enermax PSU. They are for sell in the FS/FT section and they are under rated. A 465 rated PSU was tested up to 600 watts. Only problem is they do not look as good and they dont have PCI-E connectors. Otherwise, you should be fine. Extremely stable voltages.

That or get a cooler master ACLY 450 watt which looks better and has a ton of connectors. With the option of 24 pin for later upgrades.
