I have noticed that since I put in my GF4 Ti4400 my digital doc shows my +5v rail dropping a little bit and setting the alarm off. It doesn't do it all the time just when im crankin out frags playing RTCW. The curent PS is a generic NON AMD APPROVED 300W. It ran fine with no problems, alarms etc until put in my GF4. It is still running fine and I am not experiencing any lock ups, loss of stability etc (knock on wood). I want to get a new AMD approved PS. My system specs are in my rigs page. I looked at the ENERMAX EG365P-VE(FM). I will probably pick up something locally rather then order it.

Thanks

It goes to 4.74 and bounces from there up to 4.78 under load. Right now when im not pushing frame rate it is sitting at 4.84.

Thanks

P.S. If it is okay in that range meebee I can get my Lian-Li PC 71 this paycheck after all...... I dont think the type of case makes a difference when choosing a PS does it?

I put an Enermax EG 465 P-VE Whisper Series (Fan Control) 430w Atx Power Supply in my new rig and the +5V rails are rock solid at 5.0 V even under load. It was alittle more expensive than the EG 365 but well worth it I feel.

Since you have evidence that your power supply is being taxed, ie your 5V rail dropping under load; I would suggest you probably invest in a new power supply. I purchased an Enermax a few months back and have been very happy with it. I got a 431W supply with the fan control and all that. My voltages are all tightly within spec, and I notice no changes when the system is stressed.

A good choice, other brands like Antec,Sparkle,Enhance are also good choices.I actually own two Enermax PSUs one 350w and one 431w ,the latter is in my Epox 8KHA+ board, both are rock solid .
