My Build:
GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4 790X AM2+
AMD Phenom II 940 Deneb 3.0 GHz Black Edition
OCZ 4GB DDR2 1066
ACER 23" LCD Full 1080p Res
Sapphire Radeon 4870x2 Video Card
640GB WD Caviar Black

Bought a Raidmax hybrid 730SS(I know bad choice) and my computer shuts down on a game that pushes the card even a little.

I have narrowed down to a few choices:
Antec TPQ-850 - $185
Corsair CMPSU-850TX - $120(after rebate)
Silverstone OP1000-e - $169(after rebate)

Really am looking mostly at the first 2. Read a lot of good things about both. I am leaning toward the Corsair because of cost but need to know if the extra spent on the antec would be worth it and why? Power supplies are the part of a computer I am least knowledgeable so could use some recommendations. Also, I am open to other PSU's that you would recommend.

You don't need 800+ watts.
Corsair TX650, HX620, TX750
PC Power and Cooling Silencer 610, 750

Plenty of other decent 600W+ PSUs would be good enough.

If you want more headroom then don't hesitate to get any of those that you listed.
The Corsair and Antec are about the same quality, but the Antec costs more mostly because it is modular and the Corsair is not.

Wouldn't mind the headroom if for some crazy reason decided to crossfire two 4870x2's. But will also look at the ones you recommended some more as I have looked at some of those already. Any other suggestions?

Coolermaster Real Power Pro 750 or 850W
Silverstone Element/Olympia/Decathalon/Strider over 750W
BFG ES800, LS680, MX680
OCZ EliteXstream 800W
Antec Earthwatts 650W

Out of those, just go with the Corsair since it's cheaper. Alternatively, look at the Xigmatek 750W ($105 w/rebate), PC Power & Cooling 750W ($100 w/rebate), or other ones listed in this thread.

Ok, that helps me narrow it down a little further to to PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750(BTW anyone see any differences in the three different 750's besides color) and the Corsair TX850(only $10 more than the 750) unless there is a reason other than price I should get the Corsair TX750 rather the the 850. Are there some reasons I should go one way or the other between these two?

all the PC P&C Silencer 750s are the same...only difference is the color

The TX850 is a slightly better PSU than the TX750....besides the higher output of course.

Thought so, now I think I am going with the Corsair TX850 because it seems to be slightly better than the PC Power and Cooling 750(feel free to tell me if I'm wrong). I just want to make sure I get it right this time after making my Raidmax mistake. Thanks for all the help!
