Power Supply Question

Hi,

I bought a new computer case, I didn't use the case power supply, I reused my Antec 430. The problem is that the computer won't completely shut down, the video goes off and everything, but everything inside the computer keeps running, I have to flip the switch from the back of the PSW to shut down the computer. I've changed cables around, but I have the same problem. The only thing better about the original case power supply is the +5V rail, which has 40A, my Antec has 36A, do you think I should install the original case PSW?

Thanks.

You're more than welcome to (temporarily) hook up the new psu to see if it solves the issue. However shutdown problems can also be related to an issue with your OS. Boot to Safe Mode and then shut down. What happens?

Hi,

I booted the computer at safe mode and it didn't shut down, but I have a cpu missing pin, I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem.

Thanks.
