Power supply question

I nned to find out how to either fire up a power supply without going through the mobo, or run 2 supplies together through the mobo. I want to run a peltier on separate power.

I'm running two power supplies right now. Its real easy to do but I can't find the damn site on how to do it. I will try and explain it...on your ATX connector theres power good and power on off somthing like that. You might try looking in your motherboard manual. Anyway connect the 2 with a wire. If you hold the connector with thew lil knob thing facing up it should be the forth one from the left and and the eighth one on the bottom. Sorry i couldn't explain it too well. If you hook it up wrong it won't hurt anything because the power won't come on. I tried like 5 different ways before i got mine right.
Good luck.

First, what kind of peltier and what are you running in the way of a power supply now? You may not need a second power supply if you chose your primary power supply wisely.

I have a 250w power supply that came with my case. I also have 3 200w extra ATX supplies and 1 150w AT. I am currently set up with a 900MHz Athlon I have so far only been able to get to 1GHz. I have a 72w Melcor TEC that I want to run on separate power, because my checking around different sites indicates that Athlons are tough on power. I am also currently setting up a watercooled system, as air cooling(GlobalWin VOS32) is not improving matters.

By the way, thanks for the sites. The info was just what I was looking for. Much appreciated.
