Power Supply question

No, like fatblueduck said, a system uses what it needs. However, some power supplies are much more effiecient than others, for example, Seasonic brands. A typical system will use between 150W-300W of actual draw, depending on a million different factors.

My wife's XP2500+ system (see sig) uses 230W according to my UPS monitoring software.
