Ok, so I know when searching for a new PSU, to go with the name brands and look close at the 12v rail. But now I have a Q.

Currently I'm running a TT 420W Silent Purepower, and for my 12v rail I get an 18A. Now looking to upgrade I see a TT 480W that also has an 18A for the 12v rail. Does that mean that the one I have now is as good as the TT 480W? Also, I can spend like around $80 for a PSU, looking for something sleeved. What other brands besides the TT has sleeved PSU's? The X-Connect are out of my price range, so no go even mentioning that unless you wanna make me whimper ;).

Just as well, the X-Connect is a $25. Powmax inside... Some newer designs are weighting the output more to the 12V rail(s). So that could just mean the 480W unit was designed before the 420 was. Most PSUs in the channel right now are old designs weighted far too heavily to the 3.3/5V rails.

Enlight doesn't make PSU's any more. Most of the ones they sell are made by Sirtec as are the Tts. They also sell into the channel under the HighPower label. Some are very good (the Enlight et al. 360W unit) and some are not as good (the Enlight et al. 300 or 400W units).
