Power Supply question: what does this connector do?

Well, it's not really a "connector", but seems like an auxiliary source of AC output.

The dark black connector on the top, what does it do? Hook up another power supply? Or is it a source of output?

Thanks :)

Some monitors years ago plugged into the powersupply - mostly old monochrome ones. That is the connector they used.

This allows you to plug another device into it such as your monitor, or any other 120v item, good if you want them both to go off at the same time when you shut down.

Keep in mind the power drain for that other device has to go through your computer's power supply. Probably not a good idea to put like a 19 inch monitor on that. Those were around back when 13 inch monitors were HUGE. :)

This socket DOES NOT go through the power supply, it just hooked in parallel with the other socket.
