This is my case

There is a support bracket that holds the powersupply in. I bought the high end vantec power supply but it is too long. I need a standard sized PS in the 450W+ range. I will be running 8X U160 hard drives in a raid 5 array.

please take note of the position of the support bracket It is screwed directly into the side of the case and is about 2.5 inches in height. It blocks the power wires or fan in some power supplies.

I want to get an enermax ps but I don't knopw if the bracket wil get in the way.

The problem is that I want to use the support bracket. only 1 screw is used and some sort of simple locking technique is used to install the bracket. I can not change the position of the support bracket.

If the bracket is screwed in, maybe just unscrew it... you're not likely to be pulling any fast moves with a case that size anyway. If it's riveted in, drill the rivets. That any help?

yup the 4 screws in the back will hold it just fine. hard to belive a case that big and you have trouble with the PS not fitting.
good luck

Ok, hmm... measure the distance between the bracket and rear wall for us, so we can help figure something out for you. :)

Your case maker looks like it offers 2 sized psu's for your case. One 9.5" deep and one 5.5" deep for the power range you specified. As mechBgon suggested, measure the distance and let us know how deep your bracket is...

ok here are the measurements.

looking at the bottom picture it the ps can be up to 5.5" from left to right and 3.5" up and down.

the bracket sticks up 4cm which is just shy of 2"

looking at the back of the case the fan part must be on the left and the power cord goes into the right side of the ps (middle of the case)

I tried inverting the pannel. it does not work.

I also need some sort of felt or rubber padding to stick to the bottom

thanks in advance

I need a picture of the front and back of the ps.

the 4 cm tall bracket blocks the internal wires depending on what side they are on.

Here's the first one I found: Photos at Newegg. I'll see if I can find something more specific. The cables exit the PSU in a spot that seems to be typical for many consumer PSU's. Are you sure you need that bracket?

Also, just my 2c worth, but your signature is so large it's hard to tell where your post ends and your sig begins. ;) Eh?

power comes out on the right side internally (close to the mobo mounted wall) on that ps. it will be blocked by the bracket. I will try to fix sig soon.
