Man, problem after problem... here goes this one...

I have an Antec SX1030 w/ the standard 300w PSU taht came with it. I just recently got a Athlon 1.4GHz w/ an Iwill KK266 which worked fine for a coupe of days... but now the wierd thing is that the system wont turn off. If I press the power button, it acts like a reset switch... meaning it will shut it down while I'm pressing it and when I let go, it powers back up, instead of staying off. The only way I can power down is to unplug it. As soon as I plug it back in... it automatically turns on w/o me even pressing any buttons...

I checked all the jumpers to make sure they are placed in the right positions, and they are. I know some people have commented that the 1.4's need a beefier PSU and I know that mine isn't on the "approved" list for the 1.4's. If anyone has any suggestions/opinions, please post. Also, if it seems as if it is the PSU, what is a good brand/wattage to get?

thanks again.

i dont think a weird anomaly like that would be caused by an unapproved psu, but i could be wrong - in my opinion, a button on your case is broken, or its possible your power supply is botched.

yea, I dont think the PSU is being over used... I was thinking more of like the PSU is fvcked... anyway... taking a look @ an Enermax or Sparkle to replace it... anyone know which of the two is a more recommended brand? I've never bought a PSU before... always relied on the one that comes w/ the case... thanks.

Maybe your power button are broken so it will never be in off position.
Just a hunch :)
