I am not really into the jargon at hand so i will begin with an apology.
I am installing a new mobo, GIGABYTE tech, mo # GA-7vt600-L, in a 4 year old HP case. I have a good mechanical sense and I have hooked up everything except for the stupid power supply. The power supply is one row, with 6 wires in 8 holes, 1&2 have blackandred wires twisted together to the actual switch, 3&4 are yellowandblack twisted together connected to one of the lights on the front, 5 is plugged with no wires, 6&7 are green and black and also attach to one of the lights on the front and 8 is blank, but not plugged.
The mobo has a F_Panel (2x10 pins connector): top row: 1&2 are message LED/POwer/Sleep LED; 3&4 are Soft Power connector, 7-10 are speakers, bottom row: 1&2 are IDE Hard Disk Active LED, 3&4 are reset switches, 5 is NC, and the rest have no pins.
I tried connecting the red and black twisted wires to the 3&4 of the top row, and the yellowandblack twisted wires to 1&2, leaving the green and black wires unconnected, and nothing worked, I can't think of any other solution, can anyone else help?
