Power Supply Power Cords [Solved]

I'm looking to extend my power cord a bit. Some are shielded and others not. I have a Cooler Master power supply and Abit P35. Not that these brands specifically matter, but are there situations where different power cords matter, or are they all the same as long as they are designed for the computer power supply?
