I was given a free computer by my last client. 1.3ghz Celron running a motherboard with the Intel 810 Chipset.
It's not a major problem, but can be a unconvince when putting the computer into standby. I have already replaced the power supply which I thought was the source of the problem, but the problem seems to still be here.
The problem is sometimes the computer wont boot up or come out of standby. This happens every other time... when you turn the computer on from it being off the fans, harddrives will start, the HD led lights, but nothing else. The computer dosen't boot and the monitor stays in standby. You have to hold the power button to shutdown and restart it, sometimes you have to do this twice before it will boot.
OR
If you put the computer into standby, when you come out of standby the fans will come on and looks the HDs powerup, but the monitor stays in standby and computer dosen't wake up.
This dosen't happen all of the time, maybe every 4-5th time you power up the computer or put it into standby which is making it hard for me to figure it out.
If it was the motherboard, then I figure I would have this problem all of the time but since I already replaced the powersupply and I am still having the problem it brings me back to the motherboard unless this model of powersupply just sucks.
