Recently my PC had been shutting down, it has done this about 4 times in the last couple days, unfortunately I haven' t been using it when it did so so I don't know exactly what it does, I will go to use it and it just isn't running the strange thing is that the power LED on the front of the case is on though, the power switch or reset switch doesn't do anything, I have to turn off and then on the switch on the back of the PSU before it will turn back on. Any ideas on what it is, motherboard or PSU, my guess is the PSU is going bad.

Antec true power PSU and Epox 8RDA3X board.

You might wanna use MBM5 and run the "sys log". It'll record voltage and temp readings to a text file, which you can review after a shutdown to see what the voltages/temps were when it kicked off. May help determine if it's the psu causing the problem.

Actually a temp problem was something I had thought about, but I figured if that caused a reobot it should have just rebooted into Windows rather than completely shutting down, and the power LED staying on also throws me off, but I will try MBM, thanks for the reply.

Actualy if it is an overheating problem it will shut down the pc, not reboot it, to prevent it from being damaged. Also check your system standby settings. It could also be the PSU going bad, but I would expect better from an Antec. I had a generic psu that caused that exact problem. The system would shut down, the power led would stay on, and I would have to use the switch on the back to get it to turn back on.
