power supply on/off switch on back, leave it on?

Well, after finally building a new computer to take the place of my old Dell, I noticed that the power supply has an on/off switch on the back. All my computers have been ancient so I never had one of these before. I just built a new comp last night with the Antec SmartBlue 350, left the back power supply switch on with the computer shut down but plugged in. Noticed this morning that the power supply fan out the back was slightly warm, with a very faint electric smell, not like a burning smell, just a working kind of smell. I shut it off. Now I wonder is this okay and normal, or should I shut the power supply off when the computer is shut down?

that switch will diable all power coming from the psu...including "flea" power. everyone just leaves it on....heck I leave my pc on 24/7/365 anyway.

Leave the switch on unless you are working on it or going away for vacation. When working on it, turn the switch off and leave it plugged in - when going away for an extended period, switch it off and unplug it too.

leave that switch on.

The motherboard has a battery. If you leave that switch off, the only thing that keeps your bios settings is your battery. That battery is not rechargeable (typically). If you like having to replace the battery, or having your bios settings reset every so often, feel free to turn that switch to the off position.
